Hi Mollie! Apart from just saying hi, and sending general love to your blog, this post really struck a chord with me. Hoshimotos is something that unfortunately I’m all too familiar with. My grandmother, aunt, sister, mother all have it. I have no idea why or how it skipped me, but I totally stand by you in you holistic approach, I’ve seen the wonders it can do in managing this diagnosis. Hang in there, I know you can minimize the impact this will have on your life. Kick it’s butt!

Oh my, Mollie! I’m so sorry to hear about all of this – I’m praying for you and I’m so thankful for your transparency. I’m so thankful for a God who is strong in our weaknesses!

Thank you for your transparency! I have Lyme disease and my health journey continues to be on going. I just read James 1:2-4 and it is a verse I am clinging to during this season. Continue to take one day at a time and He will sustain you!

Study, study, and study some more and don’t just listen to the doctors. I wish I had done that before having two separate thyroidectomies. I now have no thyroid left and all kinds of issues due to surgical problems and lack of thyroid problems. You’ve got this and I’m sure you will research it all. I allowed my years as a RD believing the doctors without thinking “outside the box” to guide me at first but not anymore. I’m fighting right now just to get the amount and type of thyroid med my body is screaming to have. You have so much support out here and know we’re here cheering you on.

  5. Wow Mollie. We are fighting in prayer together with you . Thank you for being so real and raw. I am so so thankful that you are counting it pure joy, that you are sharing this with us, even though it’s tough. My dad has hypothyroidism too, and he found a wholistic doctor that helped him sooo much. <3

Thank you for sharing this, Mollie. Thank you for being vulnerable and open about what you’re going through right now. I want you to know you have a sister in this, and there are many, many more that know too well what this feels like. I am battling adrenal depletion, hypothyrodism, hormone imblance, and digestive challenges. I thought I was just losing my extroversion side, but I couldn’t figure out why I was always tired, foggy, not my bubbly self, just to name a few. I’ve done a ton of research and I’ve been working with a homeopathic doctor and PA that leans heavy on the functional medicine side of things. All this to be said, you are not alone, you are worthy, and you will get through this AND find yourself again 🙂 Everyone’s story and journey are different, and even though I can relate very well to what you’re dealing with, I can’t know exactly how you feel. Hold tight to your faith, your family, your friendships, and don’t be afraid of therapy. We all need it, not matter what we are going through, am I right?! You are strong, you are graceful, and you are loved. Hang in there and keep looking up!

I can totally relate to your story, the questions, the struggles, the doubts, the crying.. lots and lots of crying.. but I can say that it does get better. It will get better. Just keep trusting in the Lord for guidance and direction and He will faithfully lead you! I can attest to that, after suffering for years from debilitating conditions the Lord led me through the holistic process of healing my body! Now I can say that I live “symptom” free and to God be ALL THE GLORY!

Molly, thank you for your transparency! I know this can be an uphill battle but you are on the right track. I have Crohn’s and have been on a journey now for 8 years to find holistic options rather than conventional medicine. I am learning a lot about the importance of hormone balance, and stable blood sugars. This can be a huge issue after coming off birth control and having high stress. I am currently creating a program for women to address these things as I see so many people suffering from similar problems. If you are interested I recommend you check out Dr Jolene Brighten in Oregon. She does have some online program options to address the Post Birth Control Syndrome which addressing a large portion of what you are dealing with to include thyroid problems. So check her out!
